A weekend dedicated to games and history

On June 25 and 26, 2022, the Normandy Victory Museum hosts the 3rd Bolt Action convention as well as the French championship.

After the Tank Museum in Saumur in 2017 and the Overlord Museum In 2018 and 2019, game and history enthusiasts met at the museum for a weekend focused on strategy and immersion.

Bolt Action: a historical strategy game

Bolt Action is a turn-based strategy game in which players lead their troops during major battles of World War II, from the Russian front to the Normandy landings.

Using miniatures moving across recreated battlefields, players must demonstrate thought, adaptation, and sometimes luck to win.

Saturday: Discovery and immersion in the heart of the game

On Saturday, June 25, a day of discovery of the Bolt Action game is offered to visitors of the museum.

From the moment the convention opened, around fifteen game tables, staged by the participants, were presented to the public. These miniature theaters of operation immersed visitors in the heart of the battles of the Second World War.

Demonstrations are organized throughout the day, allowing visitors to learn about the game and interact with enthusiasts.

Sunday: the French championship

The French Bolt Action championship, reserved for participants, will be held on Sunday, June 26th.

This day of competition takes place without spectators, in order to allow the players to fully concentrate.

At the end of the championship, "Warlord Games" prizes are awarded to the best displays and to the winners, in the presence of the museum management and Eric Weissgerber (WGF).
