What to expect ?
Your entrance ticket gives you access to a route that goes through about thirty hyperrealistic staged scenes and 15 000 collectibles telling the story of the daily lives of soldiers but also civilians in the weeks following the Normandy landings, during the Battle of the Hedgerows.
You follow a chronological path that begins under the German occupation and ends with Operation Cobra, which also marks the end of the Battle of the Hedgerows. The staging is meticulous, almost lifelike, and the sound design enhances the impression of reality and the atmosphere of the era. Information is presented through various media, making the visit captivating: scenes, texts, photos, videos, archival films, and objects to handle.
Throughout the visit, certain installations immerse you in powerful situations inspired by real events, to better understand what soldiers and civilians experienced during the battle.
