Accompanied by a guide passionate about history, you'll explore the roads of the Normandy countryside and the sites linked to the events of the Liberation. An immersive experience that allows you to approach history in a different way, directly on the ground.
An immersion in the landscapes of the Liberation in Normandy
Aboard a World War II military Dodge, the experience offered by WW2 Veterans' Memories invites you to discover the landscapes of the Normandy countryside in a new way. Seated in the back of the vehicle, you travel along country roads, through villages and sites marked by the battles of the summer of 1944.
Throughout the tour, the guide shares historical landmarks, stories, and anecdotes that place the events in their context and provide a deeper understanding of what transpired on this land during the Battle of Normandy. This tour offers a unique way to experience history, connecting the information presented in the museum to the landscapes where the events unfolded.
Depending on your preferences, WW2 Veterans' Memories offers several routes starting from the museum, including a short tour (45 min.) around the museum and a longer circuit (1h30) which leads in particular to Carentan, following in the footsteps of the 101st Airborne.
