Just a short walk from the museum, participants explore three bunkers and gradually get involved in a mission inspired by the Battle of Normandy, where everyone contributes and the desire to move forward together naturally arises.
Explore, observe, solve
From one bunker to the next, participants progress by exploring spaces marked by history and relying on their sense of observation. Clues, integrated into the locations, invite them to examine their surroundings, compare their ideas, and manipulate certain elements to advance along the route.
Each step requires collective thinking and encourages discussion among participants. Little by little, the clues come together, allowing the group to progress from one bunker to the next.
Three bunkers, three moments of the Battle of Normandy
The route leads the group through three bunkers, each anchored in a key stage of the 1944 battles.
⊕ In the first bunker, participants revisit the D-Day landings at Utah Beach: beach obstacles, plans for Operation Neptune, strategic choices… They must understand the stakes of June 6, 1944 to advance in the course.
⊕ The second plunges them into the Norman bocage, into the heart of the battles in the hedgerows. Difficult terrain, adaptation strategies and constraints of the terrain become elements to decipher in order to progress.
Finally, the last bunker addresses Operation Cobra, the decisive breakthrough. Between troop movements, bombings, and strategic decisions, the group must understand what turned the tide of the battle.
From one bunker to the next, participants cross-reference information and share their observations to move forward together along the route.
