A look back at D-Day 2021 Normandy Victory Museum
In June 2021, the Normandy Victory Museum commemorated the 77th anniversary of the D-Day landings in a context still marked by the health crisis. This edition, which saw moderate attendance, offered visitors a different experience where the interaction with speakers was just as warm as in previous years.

A program for all audiences, families and enthusiasts alike.
Despite a more compact format and special hosting conditions, the program offered several highlights related to the history and memory of the Second World War.
Visitors were able to discover, among other things:
- a reconstruction of a field hospital with an operating theatre
- presentations of vehicles and equipment from the 2nd Armored Division
- demonstrations of the Enigma machine
- presentations of parachuting equipment
A temporary exhibition dedicated to portraits of veterans, produced in collaboration with Florent Plana, was also offered as part of the visitor route, in connection with the scenes in the museum.
Several activities complemented this program, including vehicle demonstrations, a parade of German vehicles, a book signing with Jean-Blaise Djian, and the presence of specialist exhibitors.
