Very nice museum
Very nice museum. It looks small but it doesn't. A nice collection of objects, French / American / German .... An exhibition on the mobilization of women during this war is very well done. A very nice visit ...

Today, June 5, 2021, we have just spent a pleasant day in this place steeped in history. We appreciated the kindness of the people who run the Brasserie. The museum impressed us so much there is diversity and comments that we should not hesitate to read. In addition, the military equipment is also impressive, we were able to see the infirmary, also loaded with history and torn lives. Thank you to all these dedicated people.

Very beautiful museum, we never tire of it
Very nice museum, we never tire of it, the scenes are very realistic, a lot of period objects. Really perfect, the kids especially liked the submachine gun shooting. The jeep where you can take a picture with helmets, it's very nice. Do not hesitate to go to an inexpensive and really top-notch family museum. Super nice welcome

Everything to please! Meticulously reconstructed scenes watered by the private collections of 4 enthusiasts who dedicated their lives to this period. Rare pieces, objects that can be touched, vehicles that can be boarded, this is a meaningful approach and what we are looking for to keep a teenager interested! One of the best WWII museums we've done!

Interactive, fun and captivating museum
Great visit to this museum where it is possible to touch period objects (including weapons, Jeep Willis, ....). Both culturally interesting and touching through the testimonies of the inhabitants of the region, the possibility of taking a ride in a chariot but above all the honoring of women appealed to us. TO RECOMMEND!

Great museum with the little extra you can touch objects and even get into a jeep. Very good restaurant and very nice chariot ride I recommend.

From a connoisseur
Although knowing the subject fairly well, I enjoyed the discussions the group had with the guide. I recommend !

One of the best museums of its type.
Excellent family visit, coming from Tours. Beautiful paintings of reconstructions of scenes from Norman life in 1940 until the liberation that really immersed us. An impressive collection which allows us to understand this period of our history and to perpetuate the memory. Do not miss!!

A museum that deals with a lesser-known part of history
A museum that deals with a lesser-known part of the history of the post-Normandy landings. I still learned a lot, although I had already visited many museums in the region. I also recommend the tank baptism, impressive.

Must Visit if in the Area..
A living museum in which it is possible to touch certain objects during the visit ... suddenly children are much more interested and the settings adapted to all audiences. Without being very long, the visit immerses you in the France of the years 39-45. A very warm welcome.
We will come back with pleasure

Must visit museum
Good evening both inside and outside, the visit to the museum was memorable, we have very beautiful things with perfect organization.
DPdeLaBarolliere - TripAdvisor - 29 aout 2020
Quite a nice, self-guided museum.
it immerses you in the daily life of the GI's and the Wehrmacht. With a soundtrack worthy of the "Longest Day", you will be surprised by a burst of MG 42 or by the sound of the tracks of a Panzer. Exceptionally, we were able to attend a live and open-air demonstration of Panther, Panzer IV and Sherman tanks on loan from the Saumur tank museum from June 1 to 5, 2019 for the 75th anniversary of the landing.

Great for organizing a school trip
Great time for schoolchildren to discover. The diversity of the proposals (museum visit + obstacle course + chariot course) thrilled the students. Staff available. Super welcome .. TO DO AGAIN

A great museum
A great museum and a great team they saved us by tracking down our camper van stuck in the parking lot with their tank like what the old can be used for the modern ???? and the experience of the chariot ride offered on the site is really to do I recommend

Our visitors are our best ambassadors. They focus on what they liked, touched them, interested them and it's always a treat for us to read them and respond to them.
You too, let yourself be surprised and share your point of view with discoverers, history lovers ...
