D-Day anniversary and other events

2024 is a great year for the Normandy Victory Museum and for all Normans. Indeed, this year the commemorations will be historic since it is the 80th D-Day anniversary The entire region went out of its way to welcome a public eager to understand, pay homage, remember but also celebrate the regained freedom.

Events to follow in 2024

Our two major annual events which received the 80th Label of the Normandy Region: commemorations of D-Day and Cobra 44 will also take a historic turn. Check out the programs!

From June 1 to 12, 2024, Normandy Victory will celebrate Freedom and honor its fighters. This year for this historic anniversary we will offer you an even more varied program and rare events: activities, demonstrations, parades, exhibitions, conferences, concerts and of course meetings with our dear veterans…

On July 20 and 21, 2024, with the Cobra 44 festival, we will commemorate the end of the Battle of the Hedgerows. This will be the occasion for a second major event which will allow our visitors to better understand this episode in our history and to participate in numerous activities.

Exhibitions in 2024

In 2024, in an even improved route you will still be able to visit our permanent thematic exhibition: “Women in war” and until May the temporary exhibition “Jean Gabin, war is not cinema“. From June 2024, a new temporary exhibition will take place in our 250m2 exhibition space integrated into the museum (and accessible for the price of an entrance ticket).
