The “Perce neige” Foundation

A legendary French actor, Lino Ventura was also the father of a “child like no other”. His fight to raise society’s awareness of disability was his life’s work. It was a role that gave rise to the Perce-Neige Foundation, now chaired by his grandson Christophe Lasserre-Ventura.

The movie

While the black market is rampant in occupied Paris, the brave and not very smart Martin (Bourvil) is tasked by the grocer Jambier (Louis de Funès) with transporting a cleanly cut and prepared pig from one end of the city to the other. hidden in several suitcases. Abandoned by his usual teammate, Martin meets Grandgil (Jean Gabin) at the bistro, to whom he offers the mission, although his behavior worries him.

A look back at the event

The film was shown to a packed house, with only a few seats left, twice in a row on the evening of Saturday 23 September 2023 at the D-Day Experience cinema.

In what honour? In memory of its leading actors, Bourvil, Gabin and Louis de Funès. And the anniversary of the death of the first, André Raimbourg, who died on 23 September 1970.

The sons of two legends united

These “monsters” of the silver screen, these legends of French cinema, were brought back to life for the screening of Claude Autant-Lara’s La Traversée de Paris, released in 1956.

It was also time enough for the audience (the auditorium seats 155) to listen to and talk with two of the sons of “these great men”, as Patrick Glatre called them.
