Drive In at the Museum. An open-air cinema to celebrate Liberty
June 6, 2020 at the Normandy Victory Museum
Following an arbitrary administrative decision (not due to sanitary conditions, and for which we were not responsible), which came late in the afternoon on the very day of the screening, the museum was forced to cancel the event. This was a huge disappointment not only for us, but also for the public who had registered in large numbers and were reimbursed.

It was scheduled
This is the Normandy Victory Museum’s second initiative to commemorate the anniversary of D-Day in a different way. After the “Les clochers de la Liberté” operation, which will ring out the steeples of Normandy and beyond on June 6, 2020 at 6:44 p.m., we wanted a popular gathering to remember, pay tribute and celebrate. So the idea of a ciné Drive quickly emerged as the best way to bring people together in one place, in a festive atmosphere.
A 120 m2 film on the big screen
On June 6, 2020, from 9:30pm, join us at the former A10 Airfield for an open-air screening of the film Saving Private Ryan, on a giant 120 m2 screen. Sound will be broadcast via outdoor speakers, but also on your car radio via a free frequency that will be communicated to you.
Festive US atmosphere, 1940s / 1950s
To keep up with the US culture, we’ve been joined by our partner restaurant A10 Canteen, offering Burgers and Hot-dogs for pick-up at the booth from 9pm.
