» During the day: demonstrations of the Enigma coding machine in the museum by Edmond Kern (renowned specialist of the machine) | Admission fee included in the museum ticket

» 9am to 10.15am : public briefing of the RCPT parachutists before their commemorative jump on Carentan | Free and open to all – Location : Greenfield room

» 6pm: inauguration of the Liberty marker presented outside the museum with the Passion Militaria community | Free and open to all

» Evening: “Liberation” meal with period costumes and entertainment in the Greenfield room – Dancing Day concert | Booking required at the A10 Canteen restaurant: 02 33 54 51 83

» During the day: demonstrations of the Enigma coding machine in the museum by Edmond Kern (renowned specialist of the machine), accompanied by Eric and Sylvie Kersch who lead a Morse code and military cartography workshop | Admission fee included in museum ticket.

» During the day: reconstruction of a field hospital of the 326th Medical Company (101st Airborne Division) with all original equipment. Four to five times a day, the group will demonstrate a surgical operation on a war wounded person | Admission fee included in the museum ticket

» During the day: performances in the Jean Gabin exhibition (3 to 4 times a day by the DFL Normandy re-enactors’ association) | Admission fee included in the museum ticket

» 9am to 1pm: demonstration of parachute packing by the RCPT before their jump on La Fière | Free and open to all – Location: Greenfield Hall

» Between 10am and and 6pm: signing of the new comic book Super soldat with JB Djian (scriptwriter) and Jay (cartoonist) | Free and open to all – Location: entrance hall

» 5pm: Preview of the documentary “Till the job is done” by Clément Horvath followed by a book signing – Free, subject to availability (first come, first served) – Location: Greenfield room

» Evening: free concert by the Swing Melodies Orchestra

» At 10am: conference on women during the war by Eric Kersch | Free as long as seats are available (first come, first served) – Location: Greenfield room

» Around noon: free concert by the group Violine Cat (acoustic duo with period music)

+ Is there a charge for these events?

Outdoor: the events are free of charge.

Indoors (museum, Gabin exhibition): you need to buy a museum admission fee ticket at the usual rate. We recommend that you order your skip-the-line tickets online, which will allow you to have priority at the cash desk.

Most of the conferences in the Greenfield Room are free, but places are limited and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis (museum ambassadors can contact us to reserve their places).

+ Does the Jean Gabin exhibition have a fee?

The exhibition Jean Gabin, “La guerre, c’est pas du cinéma” is accessible with a entrance ticket to the museum.

Of course, with your ambassador card, you can enter the museum as many times as you like. As you are used to by now, your seats are reserved in the first rows of the conferences and events taking place in the hall. Other benefits may be available. We will let you know by e-mail
